As a passionate gymnastics coach, tutor, and primary school teacher, I absolutely love working with children! I’m especially committed to helping those with unique learning needs, such as ADHD, ASD, and dyslexia. My experience allows me to provide the tailored support they deserve, helping them thrive and overcome any challenges they face.

Safe & Nurturing Environment

I believe that effective learning can only flourish in a safe and supportive environment. My strength lies in creating atmospheres where students feel secure, valued, and actively involved in their learning process. By prioritising their emotional wellbeing, I empower them to pursue growth in both their academic and personal lives.

Solid curriculum understanding

With my extensive experience in public education, I possess a deep understanding of the Western Australian primary school curriculum. This expertise enables me to effectively support students in their learning journey, ensuring they are well-prepared for high school and beyond.

Our Journey

As I supported young learners from Year 1 to the end of primary school, I noticed that the public education system didn't quite fit the needs of many of my students for a variety of reasons.

After stepping away from teaching for a bit, I discovered that many families were choosing to homeschool their children. Having previously homeschooled my youngest son, I understood the challenges that come with balancing the roles of parent and teacher.

This realisation sparked a passion in me to make a difference! After lots of brainstorming and sharing ideas with friends and family, I’m excited to introduce The Touring Teacher!

Frequently asked questions

Here are some common questions about our services.

At our company, we’re all about creating a warm and welcoming environment for home-schooled students through mobile, small group learning right in your neighborhood. We customise our lessons to meet your child’s individual needs, ensuring they thrive not only academically but also in their personal growth and happiness.

My extensive experience working with students with ASD and in particular those who have a PDA profile, means I understand the specialised approach needed to ensure your child feels safe in their learning environment. Being neurodivergent myself means I truly "get" others who are also not neurotypical.

Our goal is to provide you with quick and friendly support to ensure you’re completely happy.

I coached gymnastics from 8 years old, and now in my 50's, and having spent many years tutoring and teaching in the classroom, I can definitely say that I still love working with kids.
I have been a qualified teacher for nearly a dozen of those years and have no plans of putting away my chalk (whiteboard markers) any time soon!

My personal lived experience and my extensive professional understanding of ASD and in particular, the PDA profile means that I have a deep understanding of students whose needs are in this space.
